We had the pleasure of photographing such a special proposal on the Dovecote Estate Winery recently and wanted to share some of the sweet moments of their engagement session here!
First of all, the property at Dovecote Winery is absolutely stunning! It truly is a peaceful haven to relax under the oak trees and soak in a gorgeous day in the vineyard. It seems like the perfect place to share such a special intimate moment together and celebrate with some wine + tasty treats afterwards!
For M + T’s proposal, T had envisioned a private picnic set up out by the lake (that is kind of shaped like a heart from above – CUTE!) and to stroll up with his fiancé-to-be at their dreamy scene! We also got our video team involved for this one to get a drone shot of their moment from above to feature the heart-shaped lake. After arriving on property, T led them down to their lovely set up by the lake as our photographer + videographer team excitingly captured their proposal from afar. The birds were singing at Dovecote as they sealed their engagement with some loving embraces and danced through the afternoon. We absolutely love photographing proposals. It’s probably one of the most exciting moments we get to photograph because it truly is such an exciting + special surprise that we get the honor of sharing with the two of you. We always try to keep the intimacy hanging in the air for the moment itself by capturing the moment discretely from afar, but it is so fun once we get to spend the hour having fun around the property! Y’all truly feel like new friends afterwards!
