Hi Everyone,

Today we wanted to showcase this beautiful, retro feeling session that truly hit all of our favorite aspects of why we love what we do! It had elegance, rustic + vintage vibes, Oak trees, meadows, classic cars, western feels, dogs, and of course all within our beloved backyard of Ojai!

Let me start off by saying that these two sweet souls were such a joy to capture. They truly have such a wonderfully, easy going spirit and were up for pretty much any idea that we threw at them! It always seems that folks that come into the session with that kind of energy and open-mindedness end up with most genuine, authentic, and dynamic galleries. We loved guiding them through these fun prompts and capturing all of the candid moments that unfolded throughout!

This property is actually one that we’ve driven past and admired for years! It turns out that the property has been in Sadee’s family for years and her Dad is clearly an amazing collector of some really cool stuff! We’ve appreciated their roadside display of windmills and various agriculture relics for years now and it was truly such an honor to finally get a grand tour of their property through this session! One of Dad’s prized collectables, a vintage Ford Falcon, worked as a perfect prop for this session. As a classic car collector myself, I loved all of the fun moments that we were able to get with this beautiful classic vehicle. It really added a vintage feel to the images that nearly felt like we were getting a glimpse into a 70’s date night. Yes please!!!

We really love how unique each section of their gallery came out! We got a great variety of some more traditional + standard portraits and some really fun + unique candid moments, including some fun motion blur, vintage film-feeling frames. Not to mention, capturing some really classic, elegant looks throughout! We love how effortlessly natural these all came out. It almost feels like a collection of timeless moments from a movie scene or something!

Of course the magical atmosphere of Ojai truly helped to bring this session together. There is just something special about the energy here that attracts the best people and always hosts the best environment for us.

Finally, the couple introduced me to their sweet pup who I was so grateful to have met! Is this not the most adorable dog you’ve ever seen?! We love when you incorporate all of the members of your sweet family in the session! Bring your pets along or whatever feels important to the two of you + the love you share!

It truly was such a beautiful evening with these two – capturing all of the fun, playful, candid moments along the way. This couple had such a timelessly beautiful look to them.. We also loved the neutral tones that they chose for their attire! They certainly crushed it in the clothing department along with the vintage, fun energy they brought with them to the session. We loved everything about this one!
