We’ve got a lovely Bar Mitzvah in Ojai to share with y’all and it was such a fun one!
I had the honor of photographing this Bar Mitzvah at Soule Park, which was such a perfect venue for the event! They had us set up right at hole 10 with a lovely view of the valley and the course. It truly makes for a wonderful setting and venue that is nice and close to town with stunning backgrounds in all directions. (I think it’s pretty reasonably priced too in comparison to some of the other upscale venues).
We love photographing Bar + Bat Mitzvahs and honestly would love to photograph them more frequently throughout Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. They are so much fun for the whole family and we really enjoy getting the kids all hyped up with us and having a fun time. We know teenagers might not be the most enthusiastic subjects sometimes, but we like to believe that we encourage a pretty carefree environment that allows them to drop some of their walls and really just have a good time with their close friends! At least, we’ve received some pretty awesome feedback suggesting as such 😉
Planning a Bar or Bat Mitzvah can be a lot and we try our best to assure that all of the hard work that goes into planning such a fun event, gets captured in a beautiful, tasteful, and authentic way that encapsulates the true feeling of being at the event. Because they truly are a lot of fun with the right DJ, MC, activities, and *coughcough* photographer! Being able to connect with the teens, have fun with them, + keep them engaged is something that we really do feel confident within and think that it reflects through the images!
Photography for your Bar in Bat Mitzvah is something that seems to be such an important piece of the day! This is such a special moment within the journey towards adulthood for your son or daughter to be cherished for countless years to come! It’s the day that Grandma Irene has been waiting for for 13 years! It truly is an exciting moment in their lives and such a special day to have tangible memories of to remember who and where they were at that time in their life. It’s also a wonderful time to get all of your family and loved ones together to celebrate life with you! For example, at this one, the boys basketball coach was invited and even spoke at the ceremony, tears were shed – like, how cool that the coach is a special and important figure to him! And to look back on that years down the road and be like “oh yeah! Coach was there! Gah, that was so cool” – priceless!
This was such a fun one with such great energy. I think we all ended the night feeling like pals. We even had a little surprise drizzle at the end of the night which didn’t slow down the party one bit, if anything it just added to the fun of the evening!
