This family loves to play by the river and encourage their little one explore on a regular basis. This session really seemed to capture the sweet love and adventurous spirit within their family!

These sort of more, candid / lifestyle / authentic / out-in-nature family photography sessions are our absolute favorites because we get to share some really special locations to us with you through creating some awesome memories! To be completely honest, this is probably what we would be doing anyways if we weren’t capturing memories with y’all or sitting at the desk – so we are always so excited for an evening traipsing through the valley. There’s so many amazing backgrounds from this location in partiular that really make you feel like you’re in a perfect panoramic bowl of Ojai Valley. It’s also a great spot for kids because it’s easily accessible from the parking lot – stroller friendly, there’s tons of stuff to explore and play throughout the meadow + river (we didn’t make it down to the river in this 30-min session), and the light seems to change in a glorious way throughout the last hour of the day – creating a really dreamy atmosphere for us to shoot in!

It’s really a perfect spot for a family looking for a more candid, fun, active, lifestyle sort of vibe for their family photo session in Ojai or any type of session really! There’s so much to play around through here and it really encapsulates the feeling of being in Ojai we think!
