We recently headed up into the mountains to capture this beautiful, fleeting chapter of motherhood magic at sunset, and my goodness it was a cute one! As a Ojai maternity photographer, we feel like we’ve found the perfect timing for these sunset sessions! We were so excited to guide them through the golden hills for a relaxed, artfully crafted session that feels both completely modern and effortlessly timeless.
When this sweet couple first reached out to plan their maternity photography, they had a crystal-clear creative vision for their gallery. We also absolutely cannot go any longer without mentioning their sweet dog, Franklin! Before bringing a human baby into the world, our fur babies are truly our firstborn children, and Franklin was no exception. He was so incredibly in tune with the fact that we were all coming together for something exciting. He stayed glued to their side the entire evening, gently interacting with the baby bump and watching his humans with pure devotion.
Some of our absolute favorite moments from the evening are of the three of them gracefully traipsing through the wide-open wild grasses of the Ojai meadows. Having Franklin there didn’t just add an extra layer of cuteness—it brought out those genuine, laughing-until-your-face-hurts candid moments that make a gallery feel truly special.
